Mark,
Here are three testimonials. From our ITC evaluation forms, the workshop was
rated “excellent.” Take care.
This was a terrific workshop! The group interaction was fun and interesting and
it allowed us to test our creative skills.

I felt that the presentation was one of the best I have ever experienced. The
most important aspect is that he actively involved ITC members in the learning
process. In addition, he was animated and funny which made the "medicine go
down" easily. His finishing act was hilarious. A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE!!!

I enjoyed Mr. Gorkin's workshop on "Making Programs Interactive and Fun." He
stimulated my creative side and I will remember to apply the four "P's" --
purposeful, provocative, passionate and playful -- to my future presentations.

"The Stress Doc"
Mark,
Just want to drop you a note to let you know just how well received your
presentation was at our annual Auxiliary Enterprises event last Thursday. You
came to me highly recommended by others from within the College, however you far
exceeded my expectations.
Our diverse group of forty-five attendees was completely enthralled with you for
the entire two hours and I was totally surprised at their willingness without
the slightest of hesitations to participate in the fun but educational
"learning" exercises that you presented. Every one of them was totally "into
it."
Thanks for making what most people think is going to be just one of those dry
presentations when one is told to do this and that and the world will turn rosy
to a realistic portrayal of what one can do for themselves on a day to day basis
to make their own existence more positive and productive.
I look forward to the possibility of our meeting again at another of your
presentations.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Gorkin:
Thank you for speaking at the FDIC's Supervision and Application Branch Training
on March 28, 2007. Your program on "Practice Safe Stress" was extremely
valuable and pertinent to the issues within our branch. As evidenced by the
level of audience participation, our staff enjoyed the enthusiastic manner in
which you communicated the poignant stress management strategies. It was also
enlightening for each employee to discuss the sources of stress in the workplace
and the commonalities among us in that regard. We will strive to revisit the
primary issues that were identified by the group, as well as the list of
potential solutions, in an effort to alleviate some of the stressors. We
believe that your session was beneficial and are hopeful that we as individuals,
as well as a work unit, can achieve a healthy, fun-filled, productive
environment.
Thank you again for your participation in this important event, particularly for
your willingness to work with us on short notice. We look forward to the
opportunity to work with you on future training sessions.
Sincerely,
Gale A Simons-Poole

Thank you again for your fabulous workshop! Everyone I have spoken with today
thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a good start to our busy season and a good way
for us to further bond with our co-workers in a fun, nonthreatening way,
especially with the "big bosses" in the room. It showed them where some of the
stress points really are during this time of year for us. The drawing exercise
was especially fun to see some of the creativity in the room and the sharing of
ideas and even that we all share some of the same issues and problems across all
departments in the firm.
Again, Thanks!

Dear Mark -
Thank you so much for helping make the 2006 Maryland ASTD Conference a success.
Many of the attendees commented that it was the best conference they had
attended.
I could see how much the participants enjoyed your presentation. The room
brimmed with great energy and enthusiasm. Each group's team drawing was quite
original and it appears a great time was had by all.
I would be pleased to provide a recommendation if needed. It has been pleasure
working with you and I hope we have an opportunity to collaborate in the future.

During my first year as Paralegal Manager in a large, world-renowned law firm, I
was very nervous about who I would hire to speak at our Annual Paralegal
Professional Development Seminar. My predecessor had been with the firm over 15
years, and all eyes would be judging me on this all important event.
I have to say that I am so grateful to one of my peers for recommending Mark
Gorkin. I had never met Mark, nor had I seen his presentations or read any of
his material. He came with glowing recommendations, but my expectations were
quite high and I felt that my reputation was on the line. Fortunately for me,
Mark was a hit. The audience warmed to him quickly and I was so shocked at the
end the session to see the group on the floor drawing some incredible
storyboards of a day in the life of a paralegal. Mark created a relaxed
environment where everyone was laughing and comfortable sharing a creative side
of the stresses they face on a daily basis.
After the event, I received several compliments from many of the paralegals.
They said that they enjoyed the speaker and had a great time with the
exercises. I would highly recommend Mark for any group who needs the
opportunity to laugh and share in a fun, creative atmosphere.
