Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing AssociationManchester, MD April 5, 1998 Mr. Mark Gorkin, LCSW Dear Mark, On behalf of the 1998 MSHA Convention Committee, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your contribution of time and expertise to the convention this year. Our members were able to participate in an outstanding continuing education program due to the involvement of professionals like yourself. Your three hour long presentation entitled, THRIVING IN TRANSITION- THE ART AND PRACTICE OF SAFE STRESS, was enthusiastically received and greatly appreciated by the more than 60 participants. The speech-language pathologists who attended your session found you to be a dynamic, knowledgeable and impassioned presenter. Although our members practice in a variety of settings (school systems, nursing homes, hospitals, clinics), they found your information empowering in any situation, both professionally and personally. Our members particularly enjoyed the group drawing exercise and your rendition of the SHRINK RAP. We hope to invite you again to present to our membership. Thank you again for your entertaining and enlightening workshop. Teresa E. Dennis, CCC |
